TECHNOLOGY UPGRADE

Michigan Columbus Federal Credit Union is in the process of upgrading our core system. The core processing system is the computer system that Michigan Columbus uses to maintain members’ accounts, loans, and to process all transactions. Our new system will improve security, enhance services, and create more conveniences and efficiencies.

The leadership and staff are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible for our membership. We ask for patience during this transition, but we understand the enormity of the situation and we can assure you that we are working hard to minimize any confusion or unforeseen circumstances. Below you will find helpful questions and information that will help you with this transition.

Why are we converting to a new system?

Michigan Columbus has been on the same core processing system for over 20 years. In 20 years, technology has changed. With changing technology, the credit union decided we needed to look for a better option to better serve our membership. We have carefully researched our options and after months of planning it’s now time for the technology upgrade beginning Friday, January 29, 2021.

When will this change take place?

Our core system conversion will begin Friday, January 29, 2021 at 6:00pm. We will be closed for business until Monday, February 1, 2021 at 1:00pm. During this time some services may be unavailable and some services may have limited availability. Please note that we will also be closed Saturday, January 23, 2021 for training.

Is my information safe?

We have taken all the steps necessary to ensure the safety of your personal information during the conversion process.
